Bihar, India has a population of over 85 million people in over 45,000 villages. Less than one half of one percent of the people are Christians. Major problems include poor health care, high infant mortality rates, poor access to clean water and a high illiteracy rate. Our church has sponsored two villages in Bihar, India, providing a well, literacy training, a bicycle for a church planter, Bibles, hymnals, and a medical clinic. Further, we continue to pay the salary for a church planter to reach this village and others.
